Coordinator Bio

Bishop José Moreno serves as the CACI Bishop of the Diocese of São Paulo, Brazil. He has faithfully served in Holy Orders since 1975, beginning as a Deacon, ordained to the Priesthood in 1980, and consecrated as a Bishop in 2004.

With decades of ministry experience, Bishop Moreno provides seasoned leadership to the Study Center, bringing particular strength in church planting, discipleship formation, and clergy development. His work has been especially impactful within Portuguese-speaking ministry contexts, where he continues to equip leaders for effective and faithful service.

The São Paulo Study Center serves students in and around São Paulo, Brazil, who seek to develop a balanced and faithful Christian foundation rooted in the Anglican tradition.

The Center integrates theological instruction, liturgical formation, and practical ministry training, forming students for a life of faithful service and a well-grounded understanding of the Christian faith.

Learning pathways are designed with flexibility and depth, including in-person cohort intensives, online modules, guided faculty supervision, and local ministry assignments.

Through this model, students are equipped for parish leadership, evangelism, discipleship, and community mission, particularly within both urban and regional Brazilian contexts.

The Center maintains a strong commitment to biblical fidelity, pastoral wisdom, and culturally grounded mission—fostering sustainable, long-term growth of the Church in Brazil.
